A Dog's Purpose Review

When I first saw the preview for A Dog's Purpose I honestly could not see myself going and seeing this. Sure, it seemed like a cute family movie. But I couldn't really see the story line going anywhere and I wasn't a big fan of the idea of the whole reincarnation thing. Other than that though it looked like just another animal movie. Don't get me wrong I love animal movies, they just can be a little repetitive. And this was just not one that I would waste my time going to see.

So oddly enough, yesterday I ended up going to see it with some friends, just for the sake of going to see a movie, and I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be one of the best movies I've seen this year. The movie didn't get too wound up into the reincarnation idea. And the movie concentrated more on "A Dog's Purpose" in life. And how the dog, Bailey just wanted his owners to be happy.

I was so glad that I went to see it; because it turned out to be such a good movie. It ended up being a bit of a tearjerker as well. I was engaged throughout the whole movie and I would have been missing out if I had not gone to see it.

Over all I would give this movie 4.5 stars.
